April 25, 2024 - Floyd Central scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning against Columbus North, and those proved to be the only two they would need to hand the Dogs their third consecutive loss, dropping their season record to 5-4. The Highlanders held North to just four hits in the 4-1 decision. Bailee Scruggs pitched all six innings for Columbus North, allowing four runs and no walks while striking out eight. Three of the four Bull Dog hits were doubles, including one each from Kelsey Lovelace, Morgan Jarvis, and Miley McClellan (shown). Scruggs added a single, knocking in McClellan, for North’s only run. The Bull Dogs will face Indy Homeschool this evening at 6:00 pm. The game was originally scheduled to be against Perry Meridian, but the Falcons cancelled in order to make up a conference game.
