Columbus North girls basketball players Alexa McKinley, Annie Anderson and Tessa Lomax participated in the Indiana Class All-Star Classic on Friday (June 14) and Saturday (June 15) at Anderson University.
McKinley scored 12 points and added one rebound and one assist in helping her White Team rally for an 81-74 victory over the Red Team on Friday in the Futures Game that included freshmen and sophomores from the 2018-19 season.
Diana Burghler of North Harrison scored a game-high 17 points, while Jessica Carrothers of Crown Point chipped in 11 points for the White Team. Tenleigh Phelps of Triton Central scored 15 points and Alex Richard of Avon scored 14 points for the Red Team.
Neither Anderson nor Lomax was able to score in her respective Junior Game while playing for White Teams on Saturday.
In the Junior 1 game, Kendall Bostic of Northwestern scored 19 points and Jaci Jones of Fort Wayne South tallied 15 points as the Red Team prevailed 65-55 over the White. Cherrelle Newsom of Ben Davis netted 20 points and Sydney Parrish of Hamilton Southeastern had 14 points for the White. Anderson totaled three rebounds and four assists while playing for the White Team in this game.
In the Junior 2 game, Tamia Perryman of Fishers scored 17 points while Sydney Graber of Homestead had 14 points and Kristian Young of Lawrence North and Hannah Farrell of Greenfield-Central each chipped in 13 points as the White Team defeated the Red Team 70-52. Kenna Hisle of Evansville North scored 12 points and Klair Merrell of Northwestern had 10 points for the Red. Lomax grabbed five rebounds and had one assist while playing for the White Team in this game.
