Twelve Bull Dogs earn Senior Athletic Awards for Class of 2020

                Twelve Columbus North seniors have earned Senior Athletic Awards in the Class of 2020.

                The Senior Athletic Award is presented to any senior who has earned six or more varsity letters in at least two sports while a student in Grades 9-12. Those receiving this recognition this year were Annie Anderson, Casper Clark, Alayne Davis, Carley Finke, Sami Heathcote, Kennedy Kerber, Will King, Carson Littrell, Ben Malone, Olivia Morlok, Sierra Norman and Emma Tynan.

                Anderson earned letters in golf and basketball. She was all-Conference Indiana as a junior and senior in golf, winning individual medalist honors in 2018. She also was voted honorable mention all-conference as a sophomore and junior in basketball.

                Clark earned letters in baseball and basketball. He was voted first-team all-conference as a sophomore and junior in baseball. He was chosen HBCA all-District 3 as a senior in basketball.

                Davis earned letters in soccer and gymnastics. She collected all-conference accolades as a junior and senior in gymnastics.

                Finke earned letters in volleyball, track and unified track. She was on the sectional champion 4x100 relay in track as a junior.

                Heathcote earned letters in gymnastics and track & field. She was all-conference and ICGSA second-team all-state as a freshman, sophomore and senior in gymnastics. She also was 20th at state in the pole vault as a sophomore.

                Kerber earned letters in cross country and track & field. She ran in the cross country state meet as a freshman.

                King earned letters in tennis, basketball and unified track. He was named honorable mention all-state in doubles as a senior. He also helped the boys’ 4x100 relay prevail in the unified track conference meet as a junior.

                Littrell earned letters in cross country and track & field. He was on the sectional champion, regional runner-up and state-qualifying 4x800 relay in track as a junior.

                Malone earned letters in soccer and track & field. He was sectional runner-up in the 100 high hurdles as a junior.

                Morlok earned letters in cross country, swimming and track & field. She earned all-conference honors all four years and ran in three state meets in cross country.  She was a conference champion in the 500-yard freestyle all four years plus the 200 free champ as a sophomore in swimming; she also placed in the top 15 at state on four occasions in swimming. She was a conference champion in the 3,200 meters in track as a freshman and ran in the state meet in that event as a freshman and junior.

                Norman earned letters in basketball and softball. She was first-team all-conference as a freshman and junior plus honorable mention all-conference as a sophomore in softball. She was first-team all-conference as a senior in basketball.

                Tynan earned letters in volleyball and unified track. She was honorable mention all-conference in volleyball as a junior.
