September 14, 2021 - On a night when senior Jenna Lang set the new Columbus North girls soccer career scoring mark, the Columbus North Bull Dogs defeated Bloomington North 8-0. The Bull Dogs outshot the Cougars 34-0 for the match.
Lang’s three goals pushed her past Kayleigh Steigerwalt’s 113 career goals and into the record books for the girls soccer program. She also added two assists, one on a goal by Emily Ellis, and one on Emma Bennett’s goal later in the game. Lauren Barker tallied three assists, and Kara Kolhouse, Rachel Merritt, Emma Bennett, and Riley Schumm all added goals for the Dogs. Amelia Corney and KJ Ely each tacked on assists for the Dogs as well.
The victory pushes the Bull Dogs’ record to 8-1-1. The team will be back on the pitch on Thursday, September 14 as they host Terre Haute South in another Conference Indiana matchup.
