Bull Dogs competitive in all three sets, but fall to Franklin Central in varsity volleyball

September 14, 2021 - Head volleyball coach Jenna Ortega is excited about the improvements that her team is making, but players missing due to injury and other circumstances have forced her to jostle her line-up week after week.  The lack of consistency has made it difficult for the squad to get over the hump and win the close matches.  Another example happened Tuesday night as the Dogs fell in three sets to Franklin Central 22-25, 21-25, and 22-25.  Reagan Kane had 15 assists and ten digs for the match. Grace Barkes and Katelyn Mabis each had four kills, and Grace Chapman added 17 digs for the Dogs.  Mabis tallied eleven digs, an ace, and served ten points.

In sub-varsity action, the freshmen squad lost 2-1 (25-19, 23-25, 9-15) and the JV swept the Flashes 2-0 (25-18, 25-21).

The volleyball squads will be back on the court at Jennings County on Thursday, September 16.
