May 29, 2022 - The second-ranked Columbus North girls tennis team finished their season with a 3-2 loss to Jasper in the Semi-state tournament. One singles player Ashlie Wilson won her match 6-3, 6-3, and Kathryn Wilson won 6-0, 6-0 at the two singles spot. Jasper swept the remaining matches. Aya Saad dropped the three singles match 1-6, 6-3, 7-6(5). Leah George and Tiffany Fu were defeated 2-6, 3-6 at one doubles, and Sydney Cooper and Annabelle Sun dropped the two doubles match 7-5, 4-6, 4-6.
While the team is finished, Ashlie Wilson will move on to the Individual State Finals in two weeks. The team finished their season with a 16-5 record.
