CN's Howard-Bass scores seven points, but Senior All-Stars throttle Juniors 119-67 in second exhibition game

                LEBANON, Ind. – Columbus North junior Maliah Howard-Bass scored seven points Thursday night (June 9), but the Indiana girls All-Stars pounded the Junior All-Stars 119-67 in the second of two exhibition games.

                Howard-Bass added three rebounds and two assists for the Junior girls, but her squad was no match for the seniors. Miss Basketball Jackie Young of Princeton paced the Senior All-Stars with 21 points, 14 rebounds and five assists. Lindsey Corsaro of Roncalli also scored 21 points with three rebounds.

                Kristen Spolyar of Lebanon contributed 13 points and five rebounds, whle Tyasha Harris of Lebanon tallied 12 points, 11 rebounds and six assists. Cameron Onken of Lafayette Central Catholic chipped in 11 points, while Jayla Scaife of Muncie Central had nine points and 11 rebounds.

                Madison Wise of Greenfield-Central led the Junior girls with 14 points and three rebounds. Rachel McLimore of Covenant Christian chipped in 11 points and two rebounds.

                The Senior girls won 111-79 on Tuesday (June 7) at Bloomington South.

                The Junior boys, led by 17 points, eight rebounds and six assists by Southport’s Paul Scruggs, rebounded from an earlier setback to post a 103-90 victory in their rematch.

                Malik Williams of Fort Wayne Snider scored 15 points with six rebounds, while Tyler Smith of Northeastern netted 15 points with two rebounds and six assists for the Junior boys. Kris Wilkes of North Central and Jack Nunge of Castle each added 14 points.

                C.J. Walker of Indianapolis Tech scored a game-high 18 points for the Senior boys. Mr. Basketball Kyle Guy of Lawrence Central had 17 points and five rebounds, while Joey Brunk of Southport tallied 12 points and six rebounds. Eugene German of Gary 21st Century complete the players in double figures with 10 points.

                The Senior boys defeated the Juniors 118-96 on Tuesday.

                The Senior All-Stars are back in action against the Kentucky All-Stars on Saturday (June 11) at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The girls game is at 5 p.m., and the boys follow about 7:30 p.m.

                The two senior teams have a return engagement on Sunday (June 12) at Bellarmine University’s Knights Hall in Louisville. The girls game begins at 1 p.m., and the boys follow about 3:30 p.m.
