The Columbus North-Terre Haute South football game on Friday (Sept. 15) at Max Andress Field will be a “Coaches vs. Cancer” game.
Columbus North senior Jenna Borger has put together a Senior Project program designed to raise funds for cancer charities, plus provide information about cancer screenings and treatments. Staff members from the American Cancer Society and Columbus Regional Health are expected to be on hand.
In addition, Borger will raise funds three ways:
>> A sale of a custom T-shirt designed especially for this game. The shirts will be sold for $10 each, with 100 percent of the revenue going to charity thanks to sponsors who covered the production cost of the shirts: Best In Sight Eye Care, Kirr Marbach & Co., Dr. Brian Niedbalski, Popportunity, Eric M. Robbins CFP, Tynan Equipment Co. and Weisner Transport.
>> A sale of Borger-and-friends homemade cookies.
>> A 50-50 raffle will be conducted, with half the proceeds going to the winner and half the proceeds going to the charity.
The Bull Dogs enter the game at 3-1 overall and 1-1 in Conference Indiana. The Braves are 1-3 and 1-1. Kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m.
