Boys JV Football
COLUMBUS, Ind. – Sophomore Ethan Rogers ran for three touchdowns Saturday (Sept. 9) to lead the Columbus North JV football team to a 40-7 victory over Franklin Central at Max Andress Field.
Rogers scored on runs that covered 49 yards, 4 yard and 27 yards as the JV Bull Dogs improved to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in Conference Indiana games.
Sophomore Landon Robbins, junior Jackson Kerber and sophomore Daveed Jolley also scored for Columbus North. Robbins found the end zone on a 1-yard run. Kerber caught a 52-yard touchdown pass from junior Dylan England. Jolley scored on a 49-yard dash.
Franklin Central scored its only touchdown in the third quarter.
In the freshman game in Indianapolis, Columbus North posted a 35-26 decision to improve to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in CI games. No other info from the freshman game was available at this time.
The Columbus North JV and freshman teams return to action at 11 a.m. next Saturday (Sept. 16), the JV at Terre Haute South and the freshman at home against the Braves.
