May 14, 2022 - One night after claiming another undefeated Conference Indiana title, the Columbus North girls tennis team traveled to Jeffersonville to conclude their regular season and came away with a 5-0 sweep and a positive conclusion to their 11-4 regular season.
Kathryn Wilson, playing one singles in place of Ashlie Wilson who is nursing an injury, got the 6-0, 6-0 victory. Aya Saad moved up to two singles and won 6-1, 6-1. Siri Poludasu moved into the three singles position and grabbed a 6-3, 6-0 victory. Annabelle Sun and Sydney Cooper moved up one spot and played one doubles and cruised to a 6-3, 6-1 victory. Leah George teamed up with Zoe Bishop to win the two doubles match 6-2, 6-1. Bishop replaced Tiffany Fu as George’s partner due to a scheduling conflict by Fu.
The team will begin their sectional play at home on Wednesday, May 18.
