May 22, 2022 - As expected, the Columbus North girls tennis team had no trouble defending its Sectional championship at the North tennis courts on Friday evening (May 20).
After defeating Columbus East 5-0 on Thursday evening, the Dogs came back to take out Edinburgh 5-0 in the Sectional semifinals and then swept Brown County 5-0 in the Sectional championship to advance to the Bloomington South Regionals beginning on Tuesday, May 24.
Competing for Columbus North at the Sectional tournament were Ashlie Wilson (One Singles), Kathryn Wilson (Two Singles), Aya Saad (Three Singles), Tiffany Fu and Leah George (One Doubles), and Sydney Cooper and Annabelle Sun (Two Doubles).
