INDIANAPOLIS – Freshman Katelynn Mabis and sophomores Emma Burns and Rylie Boezeman each totaled six kills over three matches Saturday (Sept. 19), but the Columbus North JV volleyball team finished 0-3 in the Roncalli JV Invitational.
The Bull Dogs dropped decisions to the host Rebels (25-12, 25-6), Brownstown Central (25-18, 25-17) and Seymour (25-16, 25-12) in the four-team, round-robin competition.
Burns also provided four service aces and 17 assists, while Mabis contributed 21 digs and Boezeman had 16 digs. Sophomore Grace Barkes chipped in four kills. Freshmen Alex Osburn and Roselynn Venegas tallied 10 digs apiece.
The Columbus North JV, now 1-9 for the season, returns to action on Tuesday (Sept. 22) as part of a home doubleheader against New Albany. The JV match begins at 6 p.m., and the varsity follows about 7:15 p.m.
