Columbus North volleyball falls to North Central, beats Park Tudor and Pendleton Heights

                INDIANAPOLIS – Senior Emma Tynan produced 33 kills, 23 digs, two blocks and three service aces over three matches Saturday (Sept. 7), leading the Columbus North volleyball team to a 2-1 mark in the North Central Invitational.

                North Central defeated the Bull Dogs 25-22, 24-26, 17-15 in the day’s first match, but CN rebounded for victories over Park Tudor and Pendleton Heights to move to 4-5 for the season.

                The Bull Dogs beat Park Tudor 25-16, 19-25, 15-9. CN topped Pendleton Heights 25-23, 19-25, 15-13.

                Senior Gabby Genth chipped in 15 kills and two blocks, while junior Madi Roop tallied 13 kills and three blocks and sophomore Sarah Bennett netted nine kills and six blocks.

                 Junior Madison White contributed six kills and a team-best seven blocks, while sophomore Reagan Kane provided five kills, three blocks, two aces, 19 digs and 60 assists.

                Also, senior Jalynn Reardon totaled three aces and a team-best 33 digs, senior Kate Whaley had five aces, 14 digs and 17 assists, sophomore Sydney Cooper served three aces, and senior Carley Finke notched 13 digs.

                At the JV level, the Bull Dogs went 1-1 to move their season record to 3-5. North Central beat CN 23-25, 25-17, 15-8, but the Bull Dogs swept Park Tudor 25-14, 25-18.

                Freshman Logan Branstetter totaled 12 kills, while sophomore Sydney Donica had six kills and six aces. Freshman Grace Barkes provided five kills, while freshman Harley Anderson tallied six aces. Freshman Emma Burns offered 18 assists and sophomore Emma Martin had nine assists. Freshman Elizabeth Rayburn tallied 10 digs and freshman Rylie Boezeman had nine digs.

                Columbus North returns to action on Tuesday (Sept. 10) when it visits Southport for a Conference Indiana encounter. The JV match begins at 6 p.m. and the varsity follows at about 7:15 p.m.
