The Columbus North varsity volleyball coaching position is open for the second consecutive offseason.
Quin Shoultz, who coached the Bull Dogs to a 9-22 record last fall, has stepped down after one year in the spot. The team also went 2-3 in Conference Indiana, tying for fourth place in the league.
Shoultz, a 2013 Columbus North graduate and three-sport athlete, was a four-year college volleyball player before working for two years in the University of Southern Indiana strength and conditioning program. She returned to Columbus North as a volleyball assistant coach in 2019 and was elevated to the volleyball head coach for the 2020 season.
As a high school athlete, Shoultz competed in volleyball, basketball and track & field. She earned team MVP honors in volleyball and track as well as being a two-year starter in basketball. She went on to play one season of volleyball at the University of Indianapolis, then transferred to Southern Indiana and played three seasons for the Screaming Eagles. Shoultz also competed in track and field for one season at USI.
