Smith, Watson, Kleinhenz and Gutierrez all qualify for wrestling semi-state; Columbus North is sixth in regional with 56 points

JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. – Columbus North wrestling went 4-for-4 Saturday (Feb. 3) in advancing wrestlers from the Jeffersonville Regional.

Junior Morgan Smith and sophomore Keandre Watson claimed runner-up honors in the 106- and 126-pound divisions, respectively, in leading the Bull Dogs to a sixth-place team finish with 56 points. In addition, senior Brigham Kleinhenz and junior Bradley Gutierrez captured respective third-place spots in the 170- and 220-pound divisions.

The top four athletes in each class qualified for the Evansville Semi-State, which is set for 9 a.m. CST next Saturday (Feb. 10) at the Ford Center in Evansville.
