Boys Varsity Wrestling
The Columbus North at Seymour wrestling dual meet scheduled for Tuesday (Jan. 5) will not be contested on its original date because Jackson County is in the “red” in the latest COVID county color codes released by the Indiana State Department of Health.
By BCSC policy, Columbus North teams may not host a school from a county that is in “red” nor may it travel to a school if that school’s county is in “red” for a road competition.
No new date has been decided for the wrestling meet with Seymour. It is possible that the meet will not be rescheduled.
Columbus North wrestling is scheduled to return to action on Saturday (Jan. 9) by sending its varsity to the Old Capitol City Classic at Corydon Central and its JV to the New Palestine Invitational. In addition, the Bull Dogs are scheduled to host Jennings County in a dual meet at 7 p.m. next Tuesday. Jan. 12.
Both invitational meets and the Jennings County dual meet could be impacted by new ISDH county color codes that are to be released at noon Wednesday (Jan. 6). Those county color codes will be in effect from Jan. 6-12. Corydon Central is in Harrison County, and New Palestine is in Hancock County.
