December 31, 2021 - The Columbus North wrestling team had their best-ever finish at the Mac Taylor Spartan Classic wrestling meet on December 28-29, finishing 13th in the 32-team field with 117 points.  Portage won the two-day event with 260 points.

     Individually, Justice Thornton finished 5-1 (3rd place) at 126 pounds, Jason Shuey was 5-2 (4th place) at 132 pounds, Evan Saevre finished 2-2 at 138 pounds, Josiah Green was 4-3 (8th place) and 145 pounds, Liam Phillips was 3-3 (6th place) at 152 pounds, Luke Spurgeon was 2-2 at 160 pounds, Jared Slocum went 5-2 (4th place) at 182 pounds, Bryce Abner finished 2-2 at 195 pounds, and Jonathan Morales went 1-2 at 220 pounds.

     The Dogs will host Seymour in a dual meet on January 4, beginning at 5:00 pm.
