January 5, 2022 - After recognizing seniors Bryce Abner and Jared Slocum between the JV and varsity contests, the Columbus North wrestling team overcame a number of forfeits to overwhelm the visiting Owls 52-30 to improve their dual meet record to 8-5.
The Bull Dogs got victories from Jason Shuey (pin) at 132 pounds, Liam Phillips (pin) at 152 pounds, Luke Spurgeon (14-7) at 160 pounds, Jose Ramirez (pin) at 170 pounds, and Jared Slocum (pin) at 182 pounds. Justice Thornton (126), Jaedin Richards (138), Bryce Abner (195), and Keyshon Osborne all won with forfeits.
The Bull Dogs won both JV matches as well, with Madux Tovey earning a pin at 145 pounds, and Erick Perez also winning by pin at 182 pounds.
This was the last home match for the Bull Dogs, who will travel to Madison for the Shadday Invitational on Saturday (Jan 8)
