January 9, 2022 - An undefeated team dual record led the Bull Dog wrestling team to the team championship at the NIck Shadday Invitational at Madison High School on Saturday (Jan 8).
Bull Dog victories included 41-30 over Scottsburg, 45-25 over Southport, 51-24 over Madison, and 54-12 over Switzerland County.
Individually, Justice Thornton went 4-0 at 126 pounds, Keller DeSpain was 4-0 at 170 pounds, and Jared Slocum won all four of his matches at 182 pounds. Bull Dogs finishing 3-1 for the tournament included Jason Shuey at 132 pounds, and Liam Phillips at 152 pounds.
The Bull Dogs continue to show improvement and have pushed their dual meet season record to 12-5. Columbus North will travel to Jennings County on Tuesday, January 11. The meet is scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm.
