Girls All Levels Golf
GREENSBURG, Ind. – Senior Danbi Kim fired a 2-under-par 33 on Wednesday (Sept. 13) to lead the Columbus North girls golf team to a 146-178 victory over Greensburg in a dual match at Greensburg Country Club.
Freshman Nathaly Munnicha contributed a 34 and senior Julia Luken carded a 39 despite wet conditions for the Bull Dogs, who completed their regular season with a 12-0 record in two- and three-school matches.
Senior Molly Donnell shot a 40 and sophomore Annie Anderson had a 42 for CN.
Junior Claire Dennett paced the host Pirates (13-3) with a 39. Classmate Maddy Wickens tallied a 42, while Ellie Acra had a 48 and Rachel Nobbe shot a 49.
Kim’s 33 tied for her second-best nine-hole score of the season. She had a 3-under-par 32 on Aug. 15 against Batesville at Hillcrest Country Club and she had a 4-under-par 33 on Aug. 28 against Seymour at Shadowood Golf Course.
CN’s 146 was its second-best team score of the season. The Bull Dogs shot a 143 against Seymour on Aug. 28.
Columbus North returns to action at 8:30 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 16) in the Greensburg Sectional back at Greensburg Country Club. The top three teams plus the top three individuals not on one of those teams will qualify for the Lapel Regional on Sept. 23 at Edgewood Golf Course in Anderson.
Teams in the 11-school sectional include Columbus North, Batesville, Columbus East, East Central, Greensburg, Jac-Cen-Del, Milan, North Decatur, Oldenburg Academy, Rushville and South Decatur.
