Girls Varsity Soccer
Three Columbus North athletes were recognized with all-state honors Sunday (Nov. 19) from the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association.
Junior forward Alex McGill was chosen boys’ third-team all-state. Senior goalkeeper Liz Tynan was selected girls’ third-team all-state, and junior forward Tanner Johnson was picked girls’ honorable mention all-state.
McGill amassed 53 points on 22 goals and nine assists in leading the CN boys to a 13-6-1 season that included a runner-up finish in Conference Indiana.
Tynan totaled nine shutouts with a 0.91 goals against average in helping the Bull Dog girls to a 14-4-2 slate that include sectional and regional championships plus a final four finish in Class 3A.
Johnson was the top scorer for the girls, totaling 39 points on 18 goals and three assists.
All three players previously were chosen first-team all-District 4 by the ISCA.
