CN's Lang chosen first-team all-state in soccer; Teo, Hussey and Jannis Anderson also honored by ISCA

Columbus North senior Addy Lang has been named first-team all-state in girls soccer by the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association.

Lang is one of four CNHS soccer players honored by the coaches’ group. Classmate Natalie Teo was chosen honorable mention all-state among the girls, while senior Ian Hussey was a boys’ third-team all-state pick and junior Jannis Anderson was a boys’ honorable mention choice.

Lang led the Columbus North girls to a 13-3-4 season with 54 points on 26 goals and two assists. Teo contributed 15 points on five goals and five assists.

Hussey helped the Bull Dog boys to a 15-6-1 season with five points on two goals and one assist. Anderson, a defender, netted two points on one goal while keying a back line that allowed just 24 goals in 22 games.

Brebeuf Jesuit’s Alia Martin was girls’ Player of the Year, and Penn’s Jeff Hart was girls’ Coach of the Year. Chesterton’s Owen Hallas was boys’ Player of the Year. Evansville Memorial’s Bill Vieth was boys’ Coach of the Year.
