“Blue & White Day” has been set for Saturday, Aug. 5 by Columbus North athletics.
The event is a terrific opportunity to get reacquainted as the 2017-18 academic year begins and the Bull Dogs’ fall sports teams get going. Admission to “Blue & White Day” is free.
A meeting for parents of all CNHS fall sports athletes is set for 5 p.m. in Gym 1. The meeting should last about 45 minutes.
Individual team meetings, at the discretion of team coaches, will be from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at rooms to be designated.
Boys soccer and girls soccer will have a demonstration from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Max Andress Field. Volleyball will hold a scrimmage in Gym 1 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Football takes the field for warm-ups for a scrimmage at 7 p.m. The cheerleaders are introduced at 7:15 p.m., and the football scrimmage begins at 7:30 p.m.
The cross country teams, under new coaches Danny Fisher and Bethany Scruton, have a mile run at halftime of the football scrimmage at about 8 p.m.
Columbus North all-sports passes for the 2017-18 school year will be available beginning at 6 p.m. The family pass, good for four family members, is available for $200. The adult one-person pass is $90. A senior citizen pass is $50, and a student pass is $50. Theses passes are good for all home events in the fll, winter and spring sports seasons.
Supporters also will be able to join the Columbus North "Bull Dog Booster Club" at Blue & White Day. The Booster Club is offering levels of membership for 2017-18, with various incentives associated with each level -- Sectional Member ($25), Regional Member ($50), Semistate Member ($75), State Member ($100), Bull Dog Member ($200), MVP Member ($500) and Corporate Member ($1,000).
