August 13, 2023 - Two quick scores by Terre Haute South in the second half of the Bull Dogs’ season-opening match broke a 2-2 tie on the scoreboard and forced North to put a mark in the loss column to begin the season. The Braves got on the scoreboard first with goal in the 10th minute. Anna Donica answered back quickly with a goal of her own two minutes later to tie the score 1-1 (assist to Greta Schuetz). South put another on the board with three minutes left in the first half to take a 2-1 lead into the half. Donnica added her second goal with an assist from Paige Terry thirteen minutes into the second half to tie the match. The Braves then netted two quick goals with thirteen minutes to play to seal the Conference Indiana victory. Erica Kaufman and Lydia Kushman shared time in goal for the Bull Dogs. The JV team opened the afternoon with a 4-0 victory over the Braves. North will host Center Grove on Monday evening at the BCSC Soccer Complex. JV is scheduled to get underway at 5:30, with the varsity to follow. Photo: Anna Donnica had a pair of goals in a 4-2 Bull Dog loss to Terre Haute South on Saturday, August 12.
