Dogs overcome injuries to beat Jennings County on the mat

January 14, 2026 - Missing three regular starters due to injury could have caused head wrestling coach Matt Joyce some anxiety heading to Jennings County for a non-conference dual on Tuesday evening. However, North’s depth showed through as the Dogs beat the Panthers 44-32. North won the first five matches (and seven of the first eight) to build a 39-5 lead before the Panthers made a late rally to cut the final deficit to just twelve points.
