August 29, 2023 - The third-ranked Bull Dogs traveled to top-ranked Carmel for a key boys tennis matchup on Tuesday afternoon. While the Greyhounds claimed a 4-1 victory, the match was much closer than the score implies. After a 6-0, 6-2 victory for North’s Hank Lin at number one singles, Austin Clark fell at two singles 5-7, 0-6. The two doubles team of Michael Crossman and Yoki Murabayashi dropped a 4-6, 2-6 to Carmel, followed by a 1-6, 4-6 loss by Parth Shah at two singles, a match which Shah led in the second set, but struggled with hand cramps late in the match. Amrit Kar and Anvay Atram fell 4-6, 3-6 in the two doubles match, with each team trading service breaks throughout the match. The Dogs will need to regroup quickly as they host Lawrence Central on Wednesday (Aug 30), beginning at 5:30.
