February 8, 2026 - Mridula Muthukumaran (shown) was the sectional champion in the 200 yard individual medley, qualifying for the state meet next weekend in Indianapolis, and the Bull Dogs claimed third place at the 13-team East Central Sectional on Saturday, February 7. Top Bull Dog finishers at the sectional meet included 200 medley relay: Advika Badve, Cora Tregoning, Muthukumaran, Abigail Proffitt - 4th 200 free: Tregoning - 4th 200 IM: Muthukumaran - 1st (Qualifies for State meet) 50 free: Proffitt - 10th 1m diving: Sophia Sandoval - 10th 100 butterfly: Muthukumaran - 3rd 100 free: Bologna - 9th 500 free: Proffitt - 4th 200 free relay: Muthukumaran, Badve, Brooklyn Pendleton, Proffitt - 3rd 100 backstroke: Caroline Crawford - 7th 100 breaststroke: Sanchita Ponnathpur - 11th 400 free relay: Tregoning, Crawford, Ell Maignan, Bologna - 5th The State prelims will begin Friday, with the finals Saturday in Indianapolis.
