Girls soccer gets big Senior Night victory

September 7, 2023 - Avery Baker scored three goals and recorded two assists as the Bull Dogs girls soccer team rolled over Southport 5-0 on Senior Night to snap a five-match winless streak and improve to 1-1 in Conference Indiana. Paige Mora and Paige Terry each added goals, while Riley Sims and Amelia Corney each tallied assists in North’s victory. Columbus North (2-4-2) peppered Southport’s keeper with 21 shots for the match, including 13 on frame. Meanwhile, the Bull Dog defense held Southport to only one shot for the match. Paige Terry and Gabby Revell split time in goal for the Dogs, who had lost three straight matches prior to Wednesday’s victory. Prior to the match, Columbus North’s four seniors, Chloe Lavelle, Charlotte Loheide, Anna Donica, and Izzy Lynn, were recognized for their time spent in the girls soccer program. The JV team started the evening with a 7-0 victory over the Cardinals to improve their record to 5-1-1. The Dogs will host Greenfield Central on Saturday, September 9.
