Bull Dogs slip past ninth-ranked Center Grove in boys tennis

September 8, 2023 - In a battle of top-ten teams, third-ranked Columbus North beat ninth-ranked Center Grove 3-2 at Columbus North on Thursday evening (September 7). Hank Lin got the Bull Dogs started with a 6-2, 6-4 victory in the number one singles match. The Trojans evened the match with a victory in three singles over North’s Austin Clark 6-0, 6-2. A pair of doubles victories then sealed the match for the Bull Dogs. Anvay Atram and Amrit Kar won their one doubles match 6-4, 6-2, and Yoki Murabayashi and Michael Crossman won two doubles 7-6 (8), 6-3. Center Grove claimed the final match (two singles) over Parth Shah 6-3, 7-5 as the Bull Dogs improved to 7-1 for the season. The Dogs will host the CN Invite Saturday morning, beginning at 9:00 am.
