March 16, 2026 - Columbus North led Terre Haute North 27-20 at the half, but a 10-0 Patriot run to start the second half erased the lead and propelled them to a 62-54 victory over the Bull Dogs, ending their tournament run and season. Caleb Ferguson scored 31 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a rough five minute stretch to begin the second half. The Dogs committed five turnovers and missed two free throws coming out of the halftime locker room, but they battled back to trail by just one point after three quarters. The Patriots (24-3) were too tough down the stretch and will advance to the semi-state round this weekend. Austin Perry added twelve points and Ben Kriesant added six as the Dogs finished their season 14-11. Ferguson finished his career with 994 points. Congratulations to the Bull Dogs on their sectional championship and a great season.
