Columbus North gymnasts celebrate a fifth place finish at the State meet on Saturday, March 14.

March 16, 2026 - Columbus North made its 20th consecutive appearance at the State meet on Saturday, and rallied in their final two events to claim fifth place, following fourth-place finishes in each of the last three seasons. Homestead won the team title with 112.125 points, followed by Carroll (112.025), Angola (111.325), Valparaiso (110.425), Columbus North (107.525), New Palestine (107.3), Lake Central (106.975), Portage (105.025), and Noblesville (103.325). Hayden Harper finished 17th in the all-around, with Hannah Perry finishing 24th, and Ellie McIntier 34th. Harper and Perry claimed top-ten finishes in balance beam (Harper 7th) and vault (Perry T9th). Individual event results for the Bull Dogs were as follows: Hayden Harper Uneven bars: 8.9 (24th) Balance beam: 9.275 (T7th) Floor exercise: 9.275 (T19th) Vault: 9.1 (29th) All-Around: 36.55 (17th) Hannah Perry Uneven bars: 7.975 (56th) Balance beam: 8.975 (21st) Floor exercise: 9.35 (15th) Vault: 9.475 (T9th) All-Around: 35.775 (24th) Ellie McIntier: Uneven bars: 8.4 (T44th) Balance beam: 8.525 (42nd) Floor exercise: 8.625 (49th) Vault: 8.95 (T37th) All-Around: 34.5 (34th) Peyton Hewitt: Balance beam: 8.375 (T47th) Floor exercise: 8.95 (40th) Vault: 8.6 (52nd) Karlie Haston: Uneven bars: 8.35 (T48th) Hannah Perry was also named to the Academic All-State team and performed the National Anthem prior to the beginning of the meet.
