Second-ranked tennis team snags key conference victory over the Panthers

September 13, 2023 - The Columbus North boys tennis team, ranked second, improved to 3-0 in Conference Indiana (11-1 overall) with a 4-1 victory over Bloomington South on Tuesday (September 12). The victory was especially sweet considering the Dogs were hampered with injuries to key members of the lineup. Individual match results (in order of finish) included: 1D: Amrit Kar/Anvay Atram W 6-1, 6-1 2D: Yoki Murabayashi/Michael Crossman W 6-1, 6-4 2S: Austin Clark L 4-6, 1-6 1S: Parth Shah W 6-2, 7-5 3S: Vince Sasse W 6-1, 5-7, 6-3 The Dogs will travel to Plainfield this evening (Sep 13) for a 6:30 pm match. Photo: Amrit Kar and Anvay Atram started the match with Bloomington South with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at two doubles. The Bull Dogs won the match 4-1 to stay undefeated in Conference Indiana play.
