April 21, 2026 - Senior Bailee Scruggs tossed a complete-game three-hit shutout with eight strikeouts and no walks as the Bull Dogs beat Columbus East 2-0 on Monday evening at the Southside diamonds. The Bull Dogs could only muster five hits themselves against the Olympians’ pitching and defense, and Lyla Deweese had three of the five hits, including a double. Morgan Jarvis and Vida Riegle had the other two hits, with Riegle’s hit being a double. Four North (6-6) defensive errors continue to plague the Dogs as they look to make a tournament run following the regular season, but none of them last night led to any Olympian runs. East took the five-inning JV contest 7-2. North will travel to Bloomington North this evening for a 6:00 game against the Cougars.
