Dogs grab Conference Indiana victory in boys soccer

August 19, 2022 - Senior Flynn Keele had a big night leading the Columbus North boys soccer team to a 6-0 victory at Bloomington North on Thursday (August 18). Flynn had two goals and two assists as the Dogs improved to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in Conference Indiana. Christian Cordoso got the Dogs on the board in the 9th minute with a goal coming from an Anthony Johnson assist. Flynn then had his first assist of the night on a second goal by Cordoso. Obed Olivo gave the Dogs a 3-0 halftime lead with a goal coming from a corner kick by Trent Liggett. Flynn had an unassisted goal in the 60th minute, and then assisted a Nico Gotoh goal in the 74th minute. Nathan Imlay got the assist on Flynn’s second goal in the 77th minute, giving the Dogs their 6-0 victory. The Bull Dogs outshot the Cougars 23-3, including a 13-2 shots-on-goal advantage. Oscar Ballinas was in goal for the Bull Dogs and had two saves in 80 minutes of work. The JV Bull Dogs also had a 3-0 shutout victory over the Cougars to improve their record to 2-1 (2-0 in Conference Indiana). The Bull Dogs will host Jeffersonville in a JV/Varisty doubleheader on Saturday, August 20 beginning at 11:00 am at the BCSC Soccer Complex.
