April 25, 2026 - It’s beginning to sound like the key to Bull Dog baseball success is to get in an early 3-0 hole. Last Monday at New Albany, the Dogs trailed 3-0 after two innings and won 11-4. The next night, they got down 3-0 after two at Franklin Central and won 7-3. Friday night, after an hour and a half lightning delay, North got down to fourth-ranked Floyd Central 3-0 after just a half of an inning, and apparently the Bull Dogs had the Highlanders just where they wanted them. North scored three runs of their own in the bottom half of the first and rolled to a 12-4 victory, handing Floyd Central (11-2) just their second loss of the season. Jayden Adorno started on the mound for the Dogs and lasted four innings, allowing three runs on just two hits, while walking four and striking out seven. Bryson Satterfield came on in relief to begin the fifth inning and gave up one run on two hits in three innings of work. Satterfield struck out three and walked three in his relief appearance. Brock Kinter had a pair of hits for North, including a two-run home run, and he scored four of the Bull Dogs’ runs. Other Bull Dogs collecting multiple hits for the night included Jack Whaley, who had an RBI triple and scored three runs, and Dillon Long who had a pair of hits and four RBI. Ike Genth knocked in three runs for the Bull Dogs, who have won three straight and now stand at 7-6 for the season. North is back on the diamond Saturday morning as they host Elder High School from Cincinnati for a noon start.
