Girls earn Conference Indiana cross country championship. Boys second.

September 17, 2023 - The Columbus North girls cross country team had three runners finish in the top ten to win the Conference Indiana meet at Ceraland on Saturday with 41 points. Bloomington South was second with 45 points, followed by Southport (63), Bloomington North (95), Terre Haute South (148), and Terre Haute North (160). Ainsley Sherlock finished third individually in 19:39.8, Tristan Works was fifth, and Kyleigh Wolf was seventh for the Bull Dogs. The Bull Dogs had a second-place individual finish by Neal White (15:18.5) to grab a second-place finish as a team. White finished just .3 seconds behind Conference Indiana champion Jacob Mitchell from Bloomington North. Akot Tong grabbed fourth for the Bull Dogs, and Draven Martinez was tenth. Bloomington North won the boys event with 33 points, followed by Columbus North (47), Bloomington South (62), Terre Haute South (99), Southport (143), and Terre Haute North (181). The boys will be back in action on Saturday, September 23 at the Lincoln Trail Invite in Tell City. The girls will be off until the Nike Valley Twilight on September 30.
