April 30, 2026 - Columbus North softball had a rough time at the plate against a very good Floyd Central (15-6) team on the road Wednesday evening. The Highlanders belted five home runs and held the Dogs to just three hits in a 9-0 loss for Columbus North. The Dogs got one hit each from Morgan Jarvis, Lyla Deweese, and Payton Morris, but couldn’t muster much offense Wednesday night as they struck out ten times. Bailee Scruggs pitched all six innings for the Dogs, allowing nine runs (seven earned) on 13 hits, while striking out two. Floyd Central also took the JV game with a 5-0 decision. North (7-9) will host Hauser on Monday, May 4 for a varsity-only matchup. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
