Franko Ortega pitched a complete-game shutout against Seymour Thursday evening, April 30. Ortega had eight strikeouts and just one walk in six innings of work.

May 1, 2026 - The varsity baseball team shut out Seymour Thursday night 10-0 in six innings to earn their fifth consecutive victory and sixth in seven games. Franko Ortega tossed a complete game four-hitter with eight strikeouts and just one walk. Offensively for the Bull Dogs (9-6), Macario Mendez and Jack Whaley each had two hits and accounted for six RBI (four by Whaley, two by Mendez). Brock Kintner scored three runs, Mendez scored twice, and Ashton Schwartz scored twice while courtesy running. The Dogs put one run on the board in the bottom of the first and four more in the second before a five-run sixth inning ended the game early with a run-rule decision. The JV team lost 15-5 at Seymour. The Bull Dogs travel to Cathedral for another non-conference matchup this evening before traveling to Terre Haute North Saturday morning.
