September 18, 2023 - Head coach Scott Seavers knew that every stroke would count in the girls golf Sectional meet at Cascades in Bloomington. He anticipated a close battle for the third and final team spot in Saturday’s Regional meet. The Bull Dogs fell just short, finishing fourth in the ten-team Sectional event with a team score of 384. North was bettered by Bloomington South (358), Columbus East (368), and Martinsville (379). That pack finished well ahead of fifth place Edgewood (417). Individually, Erin Hopkins claimed second place overall with a 78 and will advance to the Regional meet on Saturday, September 23. Lindsey Hartwell shot 92 for the Dogs, with Kara Buntin adding a personal-best 95, Ava Pavlov carding a 119, and Harper Andresen tallying 127. Saturday’s Regional meet will be at The Legends Golf Club in Franklin with tee times to be announced later in the week.
