August 19, 2022 - The Bull Dog volleyball team hosted Shelbyville in Memorial Gym on Thursday (August 18) and got their first victory of the young season with a 3-0 sweep of the Golden Bears, improving to 1-1. Freshmen Karen Dutro (shown) led the team with 15 kills. Kaitlin White and three blocks and five kills. Emma Burns and Reese Edwards led with 13 and twelve assists, respectively. Elaina Penrod finished with three blocks and Emily Stai had 13 digs. Logan Branstetter and Rylie Boezeman each recorded three aces for the Dogs. The JV team also swept Shelbyville 2-0 in the preliminary match. The varsity team will travel to Franklin Central on Saturday to participate in their invitational.
