Girls soccer shuts out Seymour

August 19, 2022 - In their first home match of the year, the Columbus North girls soccer team hosted Seymour and recorded a pair of shut-out victories, 3-0 by the varsity and 5-0 in the junior varsity matchup. Lauren Barker added two more goals to her season total on Thursday, and Maddi Rutan (shown) recorded her first career goal. Charlotte Loheide and Izzy Lynn each tallied assists in the varsity matchup, and Mal Gilley recorded two saves in the shutout while in goal. In the preceding JV game, Brooklyn Allman had two goals, Srilakshmi Srivathsan, Addisyn Milenbaugh, and Paige Terry each added goals of their own in the victory. Erica Kaufman preserved the shutout in goal. Franklin Community will come to Columbus on Monday, August 20 in a non-conference matchup beginning at 5:30 (JV) with varsity to follow around 7:00.
