May 11, 2026 - Trailing 2-0 to Brownstown Central in the bottom of the sixth inning, Bailee Scruggs ripped a two-run double to tie the score and it looked like the Dogs were on their way to a Senior Night thrilling victory. However, Scruggs got stranded on the base paths and the Braves scored one in the top of the eighth inning to sneak out with a 3-2 victory. Six seniors were recognized prior to the first pitch, including Scruggs, Morgan Jarvis, Ali Wooten, Payton Morris, Felicity Hess, and Avery Shehan. Scruggs pitched all eight innings for North, allowing three runs on eight hits with four strikeouts and just one walk. The Bull Dog defense was solid behind Scruggs, committing no errors for the game. The Dogs will host Bloomington South Tuesday evening for a key Conference Indiana matchup. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 pm with a JV game to follow.
