May 14, 2026 - Columbus North had a 15-win Bloomington South team on the ropes Wednesday night at the Southside Elementary diamonds, but the Panthers rallied to edge the Bull Dogs 3-2, dropping North to 12-11 for the season and left them 0-3 in Conference Indiana play with two conference games remaining. Daiju Iwaya got the start on the mound for the Dogs and gave up just two hits and no runs in his three innings of work. He walked two and struck out four. Macario Mendez replaced Iwaya in the fourth and the beginning of the fifth inning, allowing three runs on a pair of hits, with two strikeouts. Bryson Satterfield tossed the final three innings, allowing just one hit with no runs. The Dogs got on the board in the bottom of the second inning when Sam Perry singled in Jesse Clark with two outs. The Dogs added another run in the bottom of the third with a sacrifice fly by Mendez, scoring Brock Kintner from third. The Panthers did all of their damage in the top of the fifth, when they used aggressive baserunning and timely hitting to score the three runs they would need to secure the victory. Kintner had two hits, including a triple, and scored for the Dogs, who will travel to Southport this evening to make up a game that was rained out earlier this season. The game will be played at Holder Field on Stop 11 Road in Indianapolis.
