Tennis team finishes 2-1 in own invitational

August 21, 2022 - Columbus North boys tennis hosted the “And then there were four” Invitational on Friday and Saturday (August 19, 20), and finished with a 2-1 team record. In their opening match against Zionsville, the Dogs won at one singles (Hank Lin, shown above) and one doubles (Anvay Atram and Amrit Kar), but lost the other three matches. The Bull Dogs defeated Delta in their second-round match 4-1. Victories came from Lin, Parth Shah at two singles, Austin Clark at three singles, and the team of Atram and Kar. North closed out their tournament with a 4-1 victory over Jasper. Lin finished 3-0 for the invitational with another victory at one singles. Shah got a two singles victory, Atram and Kar also finished the invitational with an undefeated record with a victory at one doubles, and the two doubles team of Parth Gupta and Darren Li grabbed a victory at two doubles. Zionsville finished as tournament team champions. The Dogs will next be on the courts on Tuesday, August 23 at 4:30 pm as they travel across town to Columbus East as part of Rivalry Week.
