Columbus North High School

October 1, 2023 - Columbus North boys and girls cross country teams finished 13th and 16th, respectively, in the Championship Division of the Nike XC Town Twilight event in Terre Haute on Saturday night. Carmel won the boys event with 192 team points. Columbus North scored 387 for 13th place. The Dogs were led by Akot Tong and Neal White nearly simultaneously in 46th and 47th place individually among the 421 runners. The girls division was won by Mt Prospect, who scored 91 points while claiming three of the top ten places. Columbus North was led by Ainsely Sherlock, who finished 63rd individually among 397 runners as the Dogs accumulated 541 points. Both teams will compete in the Sectional meet on Saturday, October 7 at Eagle Park in Brown County. The boys race will start at 10:30, with the girls to follow around 11:15.
