August 19, 2026 - After a hard-fought loss to New Palestine on Monday evening, the Columbus North girls volleyball team bounced back with a 3-1 road victory at Seymour on Tuesday. The Dogs took set one 25-19, but the Owls rallied for a 25-19 victory in the second set. The rest of the match belonged to the Dogs, winning sets three and four 25-20 and 25-16. Statistical leaders for the Bull Dogs included Kills: Izabella Rice (14), Tania Maldonado (9), Sophie Rohls (8) Service Aces: Rori Pollert (5), Lola Rose (3) Digs: Shelby Sharp (24), Lexi Denny (12), Rose (12) Solo blocks: Emerson Dunlap (4) Block assists: Rohls (6), Denny (5) Assists: Denny (26) The JV won their match 2-1, and the freshmen lost a three set thriller. North will get a day off to practice on Wednesday, but will be back on the court Thursday when they host Shelbyville at 6:00 pm. Shelbyville does not have a C-team, so the freshmen will host Whiteland instead.
