August 20, 2026 - Columbus North claimed the top ten spots in the girls division and nine of the top ten positions in the boys division to claim the team titles in the Brown County Challenge on Wednesday afternoon. In this event, the runners competed in pairs in a relay-style event, with each runner covering half of the course. Tristan Works and Hazel Sasse teamed to complete the 5000m course in 18:23.6 to edge teammates Adira Sluder and Sydney Madden (18:46.6) for the individual title. In the boys division, Joseph Day and Graham Pumphrey finished six seconds ahead of Justin Reckers and Garrett Perfetto in 15:34.1 to earn the boys title. North will host Columbus East on Tuesday, August 25 at 5:30 pm in a dual meet. The meet will take place at Ceraland Park.
