August 21, 2026 - Columbus North girls soccer rolled to a 7-0 victory in varsity girls soccer on Thursday (Aug 20) over visiting Seymour. This followed a 9-0 victory in the JV match. The Bull Dogs got goals from Avery Baker (2), Grace Bethuram (2), Rachel Fulp (2), and Lily Ryan, with assists coming from Riley Sims (2), Grace Merritt, Ella Bethuram, and Baker. Danika Hoehn kept goal for all 40 minutes and recorded just one save as the Dogs outshot the Owls 39-1 (including a 25-1 advantage in shots on target). The JV team took a 5-0 lead into halftime and then ended the game early with four more goals in the second half. North also welcomed area youth players as their guests last night and recognized coach Mike Spock for his dedication to Columbus North girls soccer. Spock is the all-time winningest head coach in program history and now serves as an assistant coach. The Dogs will host Franklin Community on Monday evening, August 24, beginning at 6:30 pm.
