August 28, 2026 - Columbus North dropped a 3-0 decision to Roncalli at home Thursday evening, but the Dogs are showing that they can compete with the best programs in the state. The Dogs lost the first set 25-21, the second set 25-18, and then a tight third set 25-23 to lose in straight sets and fall to 6-4 for the season. Tania Maldonado had eleven kills and a pair of solo blocks to lead the Dogs. Sophie Rohls had two service aces and five block assists to go along with a solo block and a pair of kills. Rori Pollert tallied 16 digs, and Lexi Denny recorded 19 assists for the match. The Royals swept both of the early matches in straight sets. All three teams will travel to Bloomington North Saturday morning, beginning at 11:00 am.
