October 14, 2023 - Columbus North will attempt to win their first Sectional title in program history this evening at Franklin Community High School after a 3-0 sweep of Whitleland in the Sectional semifinals this afternoon. The Bull Dogs dominated the Warriors throughout the match, winning 25-16, 25-22, 25-19 to improve to 17-12 for the season. The Warriors had no answer for Bull Dog Kennedy Horn (shown) at the net in the semifinals. Horn finished with a team-high 15 kills and six blocks. Karen Dutro added eight kills and two blocks in the victory. Morgan Osborn led North with 19 digs, while Reese Edwards tallied 28 assists, and Roselyn Venegas and Katelynn Mabis each served three aces for the match. The Dogs will face host school Franklin in the finals at 6:00 this evening. The Grizzly Cubs beat North 3-0 on October 5.
